温哥华荣膺全球十大海滩城市 天体者天堂

   温哥华号称全球最宜居城市众所周知，现据美国《国家地理》（National Geographic）杂志最新发表排行榜，温市也跻身全球十大最佳海滩城市。该项十佳海滩城市排行榜显示，西班牙巴塞罗那（Barcelona）拥有世界最佳海滩设施，其次是南非的开普敦（Cape Town），温市则名列第十。《国家地理》杂志指出，温哥华是加拿大最富有探险（adventurous）趣味的都会，全市共十个优质海滩，由适合全家玩乐的杰里科滩（Jericho Beach），到天体者趋之若鹜的烂船滩（Wreck Beach）都有。另外，温市西区的英吉利湾（English Bay），除了是不少泳客消暑的最爱以外，该处滩头更是每年国际烟花节匯演地点。刚过去的周末及上周三，先后在该滩表演过西班牙和美国队的烟花作品。

Vancouver joins excellent company in receiving a top 10 beach cities accolade from the well-respected publication. Canada’s west coast city joins popular tourist destinations of Cape Town, Honolulu, Sydney, and Rio de Janeiro in the magazine’s ranking.

National Geographic ranked Vancouver in tenth place — after Barcelona, Cape Town, Honolulu, Nice, Miami, Rio, Santa Monica, Sydney and Tel Aviv.

Popular beaches with Vancouver visitors, and residents alike, include: Sunset Beach (English Bay), Kitsilano, Jericho, Third Beach (Stanley Park), Ambleside (West Vancouver). And another favourite beach of locals (who prefer to beachcomb naked) is Wreck Beach near the University of British Columbia on the city’s west side.
